Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to adjust finely the receiving frequency of the tuner, which has the first and the second mixers, without fine adjustment of the offset frequency of the PLL circuit, by using the PLL circuit for fine adjustment and an AFC circuit commonly. CONSTITUTION:The output of video intermediate frequency amplifier 12 generates an AFC signal by AFC circuit 14 including a phase detecting circuit, and this signal is given to the second local oscillator 9 to adjust finely the oscillation frequency. The difference between frequencies of the first variable local oscillator 8 and the second local oscillator 9 is taken out by the third mixer 10 and is changed to the frequency control signal of oscillator 8 by PLL circuit 11, and the oscillation frequency of oscillator 8 is controlled to select a channel. By this constitution, the frequency of oscillator 8 is controlled by PLL circuit 11 on a basis of the difference between frequencies of oscillator 8 and oscillator 9, and the frequency control signal obtained from video intermediate frequency amplifier 12 through phase detecting circuit 14 is given to oscillator 9, thus adjusting the frequency finely.
