Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify constitution by bringing the local oscillator of an FM receiver under AFC by feeding the output of LPF of PLL to tuning circuits of an AM receiver and FM receiver. CONSTITUTION:Change-over switch 11 controls only AM-FM change-over circuit 6 and when switch 10 is placed at the AM side, a signal from antenna 18 is inputted to the front end consisting of high frequency amplifier 20, mixer 21 and local oscillator 19 to control local oscillator 19 and amplifier 20 by the output tuning voltage of LPF17 of the PLL circuit. The output of local oscillator 19 is inputted to phase comparator 14 via variable frequency divider 13 to perform PLL operation. When switch 11 is changed over to the FM side, the signal is inputted to the front end consisting of antenna 1, high frequency amplifier 2, mixer 3, and local oscillator 9 and converted into a signal of an IF frequency, which is IF-amplified 4 and detected by FM detector 5. Amplifier 2 and local oscillator 9, controlled by a tuning voltage from LPF17, generate an AFC signal from the output of detector 5 and applies it to local oscillator 9 to keep an oscillating frequency constant.
