Abstract
PURPOSE:To raise the cooling effect to a high-speed, large-capacity machines with a simple construction by providing an air suction blades on the end surface of a spider arm on a rotor shaft. CONSTITUTION:The air suction blades 23a (23b) having centrifugal or axial flow function are fitted radial adjacently to the surface including the end surface of a spider arm on a rotor shaft 1. Since a cooling air passage is similar to rim duct air feed type but provided with a pair of blades 23a (23b), the air taken into the axial air passage 21 between arms 3A increases considerably. The cooling effect of high-speed, large-capacity machines with a simple construction can be raised remarkably.
