Abstract
PURPOSE: To remarkably improve the efficiency of shipboard cargo work, by conveying bagged cargo from a hatch to a back loader in a ship hold as the bagged cargo remains on a pallet and by manipulating the loader to house only the cargo in the hold.
CONSTITUTION: To load cargo 19' on a pallet 18, into a ship's hold 13, the cargo is first hung up over a hatch 1 by a crane and transferred onto an elevator 20 at the uppermost part of a stack frame 11. After a hook 29, a wire 20, etc. are removed by manual operation or the like, the cargo 19' is moved down together with the pallet 18 by the elevator 20 along the frame 11 and transferred onto the roller conveyor 28 of a back loader 15. An actuator is then driven to thrust out the cargo 19' forward by a slider 31. A pusher 22 is moved forth by a prime mover and a roller chain 23 to push out only the cargo 19 from the pallet 18 to a predetermined housing position.
