Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate installation and inspection of the main conservator by a method wherein by a pressure which is equal to the difference of oil level between upper and lower tanks situated at upper and lower position and the atomspheric pressure being applied on the oil surface of the main conservator and the main conservator can be situated at lower position. CONSTITUTION:Beside the main body of a transformer 1 the main conservator 2 is placed below the highest oil level H0 of insulating oil 7 to have a differential head h between the oil level of the main conservator 2 and the highest oil level H0 of the main body of the transformer 1, and the main conservator 2 is filled with gas 8. Beneath the main conservator 2 an upper oil tank 10 is placed, and its ceiling is connected with a breather 6 through a connecting pipe 11, and a lower oil tank 13 is placed beneath the upper oil tank 10, and floors of the tanks 10, 13 are connected each other through a connecting pipe 15, and furthermore the ceilings of the main conservator 2 and the tank 13 are connected with each other through a connecting pipe 14, and the tank 13 is filled with gas 8. And the floor of the main conservator 2 is connected with insulating oil 7 of the main body of the transformer 1 through a connecting pipe 9, and a pressure which is equal to a differential head H between levels of filled oil 12 in the tanks 10, 13 and the atomospheric pressure is applied on the oil surface of the main conservator 2 to maintain a differential head h.
