Abstract

PURPOSE: To separate filtrates having different properties in filtering tomato juice in any proportion, by means of at least two openings provided in a filtrate chute.
CONSTITUTION: The filter net 24 is provided at the bottom of the cylindrical filter 2 comprising the shaft 21 with the rotating blades 22 therein, the feed inlet 1 on one side and the filter residue discharge outlet 5 on the other side. The filtrate chute 3 on the net 24 is divided into two or more openings by the variable (movable) vane 31. The filtrate receiver tank 4 divided corresponding to the openings is provided at the bottom of the chute 3. The variable vane 31 is made to regulate the size of the openings, and the filtrate passing through the net 24 near the feed inlet 1 can be separated from that passing through the net 24 near the outlet 5 in any proportion.
