Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable high efficiency production of pyrographite with small facilities by dipping core metal, heated to a high temp., in liquid hydrocarbon to deposition- laminate pyrographite on the metal surface.
CONSTITUTION: Liquid hydrocarbon with high decomposition temp., e.g. kerosine is charged into reactor 1 and circulated with pump 14. Core metal 3 made of W or the like is rotated and induction-heated to 300W800°C by supplying a high frequency current to coils 8, whereby pyrographite can be deposition-laminated on the metal surface rapidly and uniformly. This method requires small facilities as compared to a conventional vacuum gassing method, and it reduces hydrocarbon loss.
