Abstract
PURPOSE: To obviate the increase in the amount of condensate and eliminate the production of radioactive air by using the waste water to be concentrated per se as purging water and obtaining liquid level by a purging method.
CONSTITUTION: To measure the liquid level in an evaporation concentrator 8, first the 1st stop valve 5 is closed or while ordinary evaporation and concentration operations are being done, the 3rd stop valve 16 is opened. As a result of this, the waste water in a liquid feed line 3 enters the inside of a purge line 12, and is made to a constant pressure by being removed of the discharge pressure pulsation of a liquid feed pump 2 by a pressure constant value control valve 17, thence it is made to a constant flow by a flow constant value control valve 18. This liquid then enters a differential pressure transmitter 14 and is spouted into the evaporation concentrator 8 by way of a purge pipe 13. The differential pressure at the spouting of the waste liquid is converted to an electric signal by the transmitter 14 and an operator 23 operates the liquid level from this signal and the signal from a density meter 24. This liquid level is displayed in a liquid level display device 25.
