Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an automatic monitoring device for water quality in which deposition of dirt is less and which is easy to maintain by providing a sampling tube, an air pump which evacuates or pressurizes the inside of a measuring vessel, and a discharge pipe having a stop valve in the bottom part of said vessel. CONSTITUTION:A pinch valve 6 and a vent valve 9 are closed, and the inside of a measuring vessel 3 is pressurized by an air pump 5. After air is blown out from the sampling nozzle 12 at one end of a sampling tube 4, a valve 8 is changed over to evacuate the inside of the vessel 3 and to suck the water W to be measured. When it is detected by a level sensor 11 that a prescribed amount of the water is drawn, the air pump 5 is stopped. The valve 9 is opened to feed the atmospheric air into the vessel 3, and pH, conductivity, turbidity, and ORP are measured by a water quality sensor 2. Upon completion of the measurement, the valve 6 is opened, the valve 9 is closed, and the inside of the vessel 3 is pressurized by the air pump 5, thereby forcibly discharging the water to be measured from the inside of the vessel 3.
