Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a pinch-off section of a multi-layer hollow body substantially flat by pushing out a placticised multi-layer parison, holding this multi-layer parison in a metallic mold, consisting of 2 divided parts facing each other, and forming it by blow forming process. CONSTITUTION:A multi-layer parison 6, prior to being caught between cutting blades 12 and 13 formed on metallic molds 7 and 8, is caught between a projected strip 16 provided on one relief face 14 and the other relief face 15. And at the stage when the metallic mold is closed to such an extent that the top surface of the projected strip 16 becomes level with the relief face 15, the parison 6 is separated toward cavity side and outside by the projected strip 16's top surface and the relief face 15. Further, by closing of the metallic mold, the parison 6 is caught and squeezed between the cutting blades 12 and 13, and by conducting blow forming process after complete closing of the metallic mold, a pinch-off section 5 becomes able to be formed into a flat shape.
