Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to cut a molded article easily without leaving any traces by providing a specially shaped gate piece between a runner and a cavity. CONSTITUTION:The gate piece 5 is provided between the runner 4 and the outside end part of the top or bottom surface of the outside periphery of the molded article 1. The part of the gate piece 5 which is connected with said outside end part has a very short length (l) in the direction perpendicular to the side end surface S of said outside periphery, the length (l) being, for instance, 0.2mm.. Accordingly, when the molded article 1 is moved perpendicularly to the runner 4, the article 1 can be cut off from the runner 4 without leaving a part of the gate piece 5.
