Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the antenna efficiency and to reduce the cross polarization components, by using a plurality of horns suitably located to the primary radiator system. CONSTITUTION:The central axis 4 of the cone type horn 2 is toward the right half of the reflection mirror 1 and this surface is mainly radiated. Further, the cone type horn 3 radiates the left half similarly, and the radiation characteristics of the primary radiator is given as the sum of these two horn's radiation electric fields. Accordingly, since the electric field distribution having the wide flat center part can be obtained by suitably selecting the central axis direction and radiation characteristics of each horn, the antenna efficiency can be increased. Further, the peak of the cross polarization can be reduced by tilting the horn 2 radiating the right half toward left and the horn 3 radiating the left half toward right for the polarized plane of electric field.
