Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the interference to the spill-over electric wave by giving the phase variation to the circular polarized electric wave received through the space and also radiating the wave in reverse turning. CONSTITUTION:For instance, the right-turning circular polarized electric wave, emitted from feeding horn antenna 6 and irradiated by electron scan array antenna 5, is received at reception element antennas 1a, 1b and so on and then receives a proper phase variation through variable phase shifters 3a, 3b and so forth. Then the left-turning circular polarized electric wave is radiated into the air through radiation element antennas 2a, 2b and so on. With control of shifters 3a, 3b ..., the beams radiated from antenna 5 scan the area of angle theta. Here, part of the electric wave radiated from antenna 6 is not irradiated by antenna 5 but becomes the spill-over through the out-leakage region of the border line. This electric wave, however, features the right-turning circular polarization, and the wave passed through antenna 5 features the left-turning circular polarization respectively. Thus, the wave passed through antenna 5 has no interference to the spill-over electric wave.
