Abstract
PURPOSE: To attempt to elevate the dielectric breakdown voltage and the heat resisting life of an insulated coil by a method wherein a compiled mica tape is wound around a copper wire to make a compiled mica wire and is formed to a coil, and after a mica tape is wound around the coil, it is impregnated with a thermosetting resin in a vacuum and is set by heat.
CONSTITUTION: A compiled mica is mixed with an aromatic polyamide fiber of about 5% in weight ratio, and is prssed applying heat to make a compiled mica hybridized sheet. A sheet material having high tear strength and high thermal resistance like an about 20W30μ thickness aromatic polyamide paper, etc., is used as a lining material and is affixed to the compiled mica hybridized sheet with a small quantity of adhesive. It is cut to a tape form having about 10W15mm width and is wound around a bare copper wire in about 1/2W1/10 lap winding to make a compiled mica hybridized wire, and is wound around to form a coil. Then, a mica tape is wound around the coil in 1/2 lap winding for necessary turns to insulate from the earth. It is put in a vacuum tank and a vacuum is formed. A thermosetting resin is poured into the tank, and pressure of an inert gas or air is applied to impregnate the insulated compiled mica hybridized substance with the resin. Then the coil is taken out from the vacuum tank, and the resin is heated to set.
