Abstract

PURPOSE: The reaction between an ε-aminocaproic ester and an amidine derivative gives high-purity title compound useful as a medicine because of its antikallikrein activity by simple operations in high yield.
CONSTITUTION: An ε-aminocaroic ester of formula I (R is alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, which may be substituted) and a halogen formamidine of formula II (X is halogen) are made to react to form the objective compound of formula III. The solvent, which is employed for the reaction, is preferably water or an organic solvent such as methanol or acetone. The reaction temperature is preferably 20W60°C. The catalyst is unessential but an inorganic alkali or organic amine may be employed.
