Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the dissipation-removel of oil contents and oxide films and reduce processing time by putting heat exchanger assembling materials into a vacuum chamber and cleaninf them by raising temperature while introducing nonoxidates gas followed by performing brazing.
CONSTITUTION: The Al-made heat exchanger assembling materials 1 clad with brazing materials are carried into the cleaning chamber 5 of a vacuum chamber 2. The air in the cleaning chamber 5 and vacuum brazing chamber is exhausted. When the pressure in the cleaning chamber 5 is reduced down to a value close to vacuum, nonoxidative gas such as nitrogen is introduced therein and the temperature in the chamber 5 is increased to dissipasion-remove the oil contents and oxide films deposited on the surfaces of the assembling materials 1. Thence, with the exhaust of the chambers 5, 6 being held continued, the assembling materials 1 are transferred into the vacuum brazing chamber 6, where they are heated and are vacuum-brazed. This method enables the efficient execution of the entire process in a short time and eliminates the waste of heating.
