Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide faster combustion speed by generating turbulence flow around cylinder axis within the main combustion chamber during the intake stroke by accelerating mixing action of fuel and air or recirculating exhaust gas and air.
CONSTITUTION: A downware movement of piston 2 suring intake stroke allows to generate high speed gas flow toward squish area A, B, and create cyclone flow E around cylinder axis along the external circumferential wall of helical intake port 10. The cyclone flow E accelerates the mixing action of fuel and air or recirculating the exhaust gas and air to continue until the end of compression stroke. On the compression stroke end, cyclone flow E is injected into combustion chamber 4 from squish area A, B to disappear. This allows to prevent effect on the cyclone flow around the horizontal axis provided by squish flow.
