Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance heat resistance, increase sensitivity and enable measurement of good accuracy with a small size by burying the ends of a pair of thermocouple strands into ceramics by leaving a fixed spacing, exposing the surface of the buried ends of the strands and covering the ceramics end face including the end faces of the strands by a metal thin film.
CONSTITUTION: The covering 31 of thermocouples 30 made of chromel alloy or the like is removed. Also the covering of the other thermocouple strands 40 made of alumel alloy or the like is removed. The respective ends 30a, 40a are inserted into a stainless steel hollow outside barrel 20 and the respective ends are bent. Even if the glass of melting point 800°C or more on the outside of the strands 30, 31 is dipped in the low melting point glass 50 of the outside barrel 20, it does not melt, thus providing insulation between the strands 30, 31.
