Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A conductive metal core material 2 of Cu or Al of bar-, wire- or pipe form is inserted into a metal-made pipe 1 of Ti or the like. After its both ends are drawn and are closed by plugs 3, the inside is evacuated by a vacuum pump V and the pipe is drawn by a swaging machine and is also heated, by which the core material 2 and pipe 1 are firmly contacted and a mutually diffused alloy layer 4 is formed. Here, it is equally well to perform swaging after heating or perform swaging while performing heating. In this way, the composite material which has the conductivity suited for corrosive environments such as chemical plants and plating shops and is superior in corrosion resistance is readily and inexpensively obtained.
