Abstract

PURPOSE: Title composition prepd. by adding a lubricant together with inorganic filler to specific granular polypropylene to increase the apparent density of the granules as well as improve the dispresibility of the filler, thus giving moldings with no fluctuation in strength by stable operations.
CONSTITUTION: To 100pts.wt. of granular polypropylene that has an apparent density of over 0.5g/ml, preferably 0.52g/ml and preferably particle distribution satisfying the equation [Dp is diameter, R(Dp) is wt% of granules with larger diameter than Dp, De is the number of particle size characteristics which shows the particle diameter when R(Dp) is 36.8wt% and each value ranges in following equations: 100≤Dp≤1,200, R(Dp) is 0W100, 100≤De≤800, n≥2.5] are added, 0.01W 0.6pts.wt. of lubricant such as metal salt of saturated fatty acid and fatty acid amide, and 3W400pts.wt. of inorganic fillers to give the objective composition.
EFFECT: Bridging can be prevented when the composition is fed from the hopper to extruder. Further, the content of the inorganic filler can be raised.
