Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible bending of a thin-walled material as well, and obtain the elbow having no straight portions and causing less losses of materials by compression bending the material at the specified angle then shifting the end of this bent portion gradually to tensile bending.
CONSTITUTION: A material 27 is compressed by a punch 9 into the ring-form spacing 15a constituted by a clamp die 15 and the front mandrel 13 and rear mandrel 7 integrally mounted to a die roll 10, by which the press bending of the 1st stage is accomplished.
