Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform a bulging work without causing wrinkles in a bent part of a pipe, by press-exerting the same metal while inserting bent core metal in the bent blank pipe and introducing a high pressured fluid applied in the bent blank pipe.
CONSTITUTION: After a bent blank pipe 9 having straight shape is inserted into a straight part 2 of a split metallic mold 1, a punch shaft 11 made into one body with a hydraulic cylinder 10 is inserted from outside into the pipe 9. The cylinder 10 is moved in a direction of arrow A to drive an end of the pipe 9 into a bending part 3. Next a punch arm 6 is pressed in a direction of arrow B to insert a core metal 7 of a bent punch into the bending part of the pipe 9 and force the end of the pipe 9 sealed with a butting stepped-part 8. Then a piston 12 in the cylinder 10 is pushed in a direction of arrow C to press a forced feeding of a high pressured fluid inside the pipe 9 through a through-hole 13, forming a bluging part at the bending part of the pipe 9.
