Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture the lightweight and low cost titled shaft efficiently with an excellent productivity, by a preliminary process of bending an eccentric part in a condition of a large distance in its form, wherein an outer diameter part of a steel tube is constricted and an inner diameter part is inserted with a mandrel, and then by a final process of comprssing the bended, eccentric part axially of tube.
CONSTITUTION: The inner diameter part of a steel tube is inserted into with a mandrel 3, and its outer diameter part is completely constricted by supporting bases 4, 5, then the tube is so worked as to have a gentle bended form by providing a large form distance in bending dies, thus deforming to a large magnitude of eccentricity without destroying the crankshaft 1. Then the shaft 1 is firmly gripped by fixing blocks 6, 7, of forcing dies, and the gently bended part of shaft 1 is compressed to axial direction of shaft 1 by a horizontal die 8 to make the offcentered part, then the final form of bending having a large magnitude of eccentricity is obtained.
