Abstract

PURPOSE: To straighten the bend of bar material extrusion molded at high job efficiency, by applying pressure in the axial direction and plastically deforming the bar material, with the outer circumference of the bar material to be processed being densely enclosed by a clamping fixture approximately over the entire length.
CONSTITUTION: A shaft 31 inserted in a through-hole 42 in a block 41 is set in a through-hole 55 in a die 5 of the movable platen side being lowered. When the die 5 is pushed down in this state, the lower end of the shaft 31 goes down in the through-hole 42 while it is being drawn by a restriction 48. When the lower end of the shaft 31 abuts against the upper end of a stopper 47, the lowering motion of the shaft 31 stops, but the die 5 is pushed down until abutting against a die 4 of the fixed side, so that the shaft 31 is plastically deformed by receiving compressive force (about 1.2W1.3 times the deforming resistance of the material) directed to the inside along the axial line. As a result, the residual stress at the time of extrusion molding is defeated by this compressive force, and only the stress along the axial line is left over after pressurizing. After pressurizing, a ring-shaped flange part 321 formed on a shaft 32 due to small space 57 is cut off.
