Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an excellent metalically glossy printing pattern with a soft texture by piling the thermal transfer sheet on the fabrics having a bonded layer formed in a desired pattern and having the pattern portion alone transferred on the fabrics with a heat and pressure.
CONSTITUTION: A thermal transfer sheet 4 is piled in contact with the surface of a fabrics having a bonded layer 6 made of thermoplastic high polymer formed in a pattern. It is heated under a pressure with a calender type thermal transfer machine, opening/closing type thermal transfer machine or thermal iron and then, the thermal transfer sheet 4 is peeled off. In this manner, a transfer printed article is obtained having a noticeable metalic gloss in the given pattern transferred on the fabrics 5.
