Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:Alkanedicarboxydianilide derivatives of formula I (A is single bond or -O-CH2; R1 is OH or lower alkoxyl; R2 is lower alkyl or cycloalkyl; n is 1W8) and their salts.
EXAMPLE: N,N-bis[5-(2-tert-butylamino-1-hydroxyethyl)-2-hydroxyphenyl]succinamide.
USE: Medicine having broncho-dilating action and antianaphylactic action and useful for remedy and prevention of asthma and other allergic diseases.
PROCESS: Compounds of formula I are obtained by the reaction of compounds of formula II (R3 is benzyloxy or lower alkyl) and compounds of formula III (X is halogen) in an organic solvent such as ethyl acetete or methylene chloride in the presence of a base such as pyridine or triethylamine, to obtain compounds of formulaIV, followed by the catalytic seduction in water or an organic solvent such as methanol in the presence of a catalyst such as palladium carbon or platinum.
