Abstract

PURPOSE:To make an arrangement pitch of electrode bodies dense and to eliminate adherence of charged particles so as to control correctly a passing amount of the charged particles by a method wherein a multitude of the electrode bodies are arranged on opposing surfaces of insulating bodies arranged in pinching a passageway. CONSTITUTION:A voltage control device 18 is controlled to apply a voltage on electrodes 13 for an electrostatic recording and charged particles produced by a charged particles generator 11 are put in a condition wherein they will not pass a passageway in the electrodes 13, thereafter, the impressed voltage of the electrodes 13 is removed in accordance with a recording signal. Then, charged particles are allowed to pass through only the passageway between electrode bodies 15A, 15B which are portions corresponding to the recording signal and an electrostatic latent image is formed on an electrostatic recording paper 19 in accordance with the recording signal. This electrostatic latent image is developed and fixed by a magnetic brush development method. Here, a dielectric drum may be used instead of the electrostatic recording paper and the electrostatic latent image on the drum may be developed and transferred on a ordinary paper. EFFECT:A disturbance in an electrostatic latent image may be prevented.
