Abstract
PURPOSE:To miniaturize an apparatus by using a system in which char staying at the upper part of a fluidized bed and char separated from formed gas are forcibly supplied to the lower part of the fluidized bed for the combustion of the char in the same fluidized bed as that for thermal decomposition. CONSTITUTION:The thermal decomposition raw materials, e.g., urban refuges, etc., supplied from the supplier 2 to the gas chamber 8 of the fluidized furnace 1 in which the fluidizing gas IV containing oxygen supplied through the gas diffusing plate 7 from the lower part of the funace 1 is used for fluidization and at the same time the raw materials are thermally decomposed by supply of the heat of combustion of the fuel II and the combustion air III from the burner 9. Then, the gas formed in the thermal decomposition is sent from the path 12 to the cyclone 3 to remove the entrained char in order to recover the gas as the medium-calorie gas I. The char staying in the upper part of the fluidized bed and part of fluidized particles are mixed, after passing through the communication tube 4, with the char separated at the cyclone 3 and then supplied through the lower part of the furnace 1 from the supplier 5 into the fluidized bed for combustion.
