Abstract

CONSTITUTION: The thermistor of temperature detector 6 is arranged in the position where the influence of the temperature is largest in disc driving part 2. Detector 6 detects the difference between the actual temperature detected by the thermistor and an optimum temperature and sends temperature detection signal 11 to retry set circuit 5. Circuit 5 has a conversion table for temperature difference/retry frequency conversion, and retry frequency is so set that it may be large according as the temperature difference of signal 11 becomes large. Circuit 5 sets retry frequency and transfers a retry signal or an abnormal end signal to disc control part 1. When the retry signal is input to control part 1, control part 1 drives disc driving part 2. Then, errors of data read out from floppy disc 3 are detected, and retry is executed until no error is detected or retry frequency reaches a prescribed value for error detection.
