Abstract

PURPOSE: To take out the water content in the soil through the apertures of waterflow orifices and inner and outer pipes by a method wherein a double casing with waterflow orifices in its inner pipe is thrusted into the ground and the load is placed on the soil within the inner pipe in the method for improving the organic ground with high water content.

CONSTITUTION: A double casing consisting of an inner pipe 2 with waterflow orifices 3 and an outer pipe 1 is thrusted into the organic ground A with high water content unit the tip thereof reaches the soil of good quality B or the clayey soil. In addition, the soil of good quality C is mixed in the ground A to improve the trafficability of construction apparatuses. Next, the load is given to the soil in the inner pipe 2 of the casing by placing a pressing board 4 on the top of the soil to compress forcibly the soil in the inner pipe 2. By this, the water content in the soil passes through the waterflow orifices 3 and is extracted onto the surface of the ground through the apertures of the inner and outer pipes, thereby the soil in the inner pipe 2 being improved. Then the above casing is pulled out and the concave left by the casing is filled with the soil of good quality, thus the improvement works are completed.
