Abstract

PURPOSE:To drive CCD without increasing the number of external power supplies by arranging such that a driving pulse of arbitrary amplitude is obtainable through connecting an enhancement MOSFET in cascade. CONSTITUTION:E-type FET's 34, 35 are inserted in an ED inverter circuit consisting of a power supply VD and a depression E-type and an enhancement D-type FET's 30, 31, and further a dummy floating capacity Cd is provided between an output terminal V2 and an earthing terminal 40 of the inverter. In this constitution, from selecting a constant of the floating capacity Cd and the E-type FET's 32, 33 constituting a push-pull circuit of load of the ED inverter, a desired pulse voltage of arbitrary amplitude is obtained simply through using a single power supply, which is very suitable for the supply of a low oscillation pulse particularly at 1.1/2- phase drive of a surface channel type CCD, and consumption power is not incrased thereby.
