A distance from a striped filter surface to the abrasion surface is set to less than 40mu only by finishing abrasion. An epoxy resin is most suitable for bonding the transparent thin glass plate. This plate is bonded on a photoelectric conversion surface of a image pickup tube. Since this permits reduction of the gap between the photoelectric conversion surface and the striped filter, the striped filter image on the photoelectric conversion surface becomes clear and the quantity of the color television color signal can be increased.
