Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a counter flow in receiving liquid gas in a cylinder for liquid gas with a small molecular weight such as hydrogen by boring an opening provided with a scatter-preventing structure above the surface of full liquid on a liquid- receiving pipe reaching the bottom of the cylinder in the lower end. CONSTITUTION:In the upper part of a cylinder 1 to store liquid gas 2 with small molecular weight such as hydrogen, a liquid-receiving pipe is inserted to reach to the cylinder bottom in the lower end together with an outlet pipe 4 for boil- off gas. On the upper part of the liquid-receiving pipe 3, an opening 5 is provided to be connected to the inside of the cylinder 1, and around the periphery of the liquid-receiving pipe 3 containing this opening 5, scatter-preventing materials 6 of short cylinders are arranged at proper spaces not to reach the surface of full liquid in their lower ends. The counter flow of the stored liquid can be prevented by the above-written simple device.
