Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the subsidence of surface layer due to insufficient rolling pressure and to make re-digging easy, by using solid particles obtained by mixing quick lime powders with cement, granulated slag and aluminum powders, followed by molding the mixt. under high pressure.
CONSTITUTION: Cement and granulated slag as hardening reaction auxiliaries which prematurely promotes hardening, and a small amount of aluminum powders as foaming-hardening agent, are added to quick lime powders which absorb water in soil, expand and generate heat. These materials are mixed. The mixt. is molded under high pressure into solid particles by a granulator. When back-filling, a proper quantity of the solid particles are introduced into the ground where soil is digged. By pressing the ground with roller, the solid particles of the quick lime absorb water in the soil, expand and generate heat. As the solid particles uniformly expand in the ground, the effect of rolling is enhanced and the subsidence of surface layer is reduced. Further, the quick lime in the form of solid particles is converted to slacked lime which is reacted with hardening materials in the solid particels to harden prematurely soil, whereby the strength of back-filled soil is enhanced.
