Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture granulated loam which is easily handled and excellent in operability, by mixing sludge with a cement hardener and quicklime whose digestion speed is lowered extremely.
CONSTITUTION: To the sludge obtained from rivers, water purifying facilities, etc., a high early strength cement hardener having added cement or solidification accelerator is mixed firstly and lime whose digestion speed is lowered extermely by superhard calcining or by coating the surface with an inorganic or organic material is uniformly dispersed and blended. Then, as the solidifying of the sludge and the hardener advances, the digestion of quicklime particles also advances gradually and the quicklime particles expand bit by bit and collapse at the end. Consequently, the solid matter is made into granulated loam having proper size to obtain an easy-to-handle construction material.
