Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the adsorption and cohesion of both toners and obtain good two-color images by using the developing solution composed of two kinds of insulation-type liquids of different specific gravities which do not mix and dissolve with each other and two kinds of toners of different colors which charge to mutually opposite polarities.
CONSTITUTION: The developing solution composed of two kinds of insulation-type liquids L1 and L2 of different specific gravities which not not mix and dissolve with each other and two kinds of toners T1 and T2 of different colors which charge to mutually opposite polarities contained in a vessel 14 is used for a developing device 7. As a result of this the both toners T1, T2 are charged to mutually opposite polarities in such a manner as to be protected by the respective liquids L1, L2 and therefore their mutual attraction does not occur. Even more, the both liquids L1, L2 will not mix and dissolve with each other and therefore even if the both liquids are mixed in the vessel 14, the charging state is maintained, In this way, the attraction and cohesion of the both toners may be prevented and the two-color images of good image quality obtained.
