Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a field winding which complies with standards and whose cross section is not deformed or disarranged, by using a coiling model made of a pressure-deformable material and by winding a wire around the model and then deforming the model into a desired shape. CONSTITUTION:A coiling model 51 is provided with flanges 51a, 51b on two opposite rectangular faces. A recess 51c defined by the flanges is a wire winding recess. The coiling model 52 is made of a plurality of pressure-deformable stainless steel sheets or the like. A wire is wound into numerous layers in the recess 51c so that a field winding 3 shaped as a flat frame is manufactured. The coiling model 51 is fitted on a press jig 61 as the winding 3 remains on the model. Both the ends of the top of the model and the central part of its bottom are pressed into a desired form. This results in providing the winding which complies with standards and whose cross section is not deformed or disarranged.
