Abstract
1515565 Transformers ETABS MARTIN ET CIE 21 May 1975 [21 May 1974 18 Oct 1974 27 March 1975] 21908/75 Heading H1T [Also in Division B3] A star-shaped magnetic core element for a poly-phase transformer comprises at least one endless loop (1, Fig. 6a or 31, Fig. 3) of magnetic material, the loop being included in at least two legs of the star and a portion of the loop being folded upon itself in each of the two legs. As shown the core element is formed from a single loop 1 or three loops 31 wound from strip and pressed into shape between dies and baked, a lubricant such as grease, oil or talc being used between the layers to facilitate the deformation. A yoke 5 is clamped on one or each side of the star to close the magnetic circuit between the legs.
