Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the mechanical properties and to improve the workability in production by rolling under certain conditions a grid cast from a lead alloy containing tin and arsenic. CONSTITUTION:A grid is cast from a lead alloy containing 0.5wt% tin, 0.3wt% arsenic, and 0.02wt% aluminum. The grid is subjected to heat treatment at 125 deg.C for 24hr, and then rolled to the thickness of 0.3-3mm at rolling ratios of 110- 400% (Thickness before rolling divided by thickness after rolling X 100). The grid has deflective strength of about 700kg/mm<2>.
