Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce predetermined residual pressure in a brake system by providing a floating value body which retains a valve in open state at vacuum evacuating time and in closed state after charging.
CONSTITUTION: When brake liquid is not filled in a communicating chamber 11, a valve body 20 makes elastic contact with a seat surface 10a by a spring 13, and a floating valve body 22 is located at relatively lower position by its own weight. The upper flange 23 makes contact with the upper surface of the valve body 20. The communicating chamber 11 communicates through a valve hole 20a and a hole 24a with a liquid pressure supply hole 15 to thereby communicate air therethrough. When the chamber is evacuated in vacuum in this state, it can be rapidly and exactly evacuated with air. When a piston is returned after a wheel cylinder is operated, the valve body 22 is moved upwardly to return the liquid through the gap between the valve body 20 and a plug 10. When the brake system is lowered less than predetermined pressure, it is shut off by the spring 13.
