Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance dust collection efficiency by a method wherein outside air is naturally introduced into dust collecting electrodes or discharge electrodes, without using power supply for outer air introduction, by utilizing negative pressure structure at internal of electric dust collector, and the temperature inside the dust collector is controlled.
CONSTITUTION: Dust collector internal is maintained at a negative pressure by action of fan for exhausting waste gas. This negative pressure is used to naturally aspirate outer air into pipes 6 from the arrowed section, to guide the air into pipe type dust collecting electrodes 2, auxiliary electrodes dust collecting electrodes 3, and discharge electrodes 1. The air is then sucked from the top opening into the dust collector internal. Waste gas in the dust collector and dust collecting electrodes 2 are cooled by the sucked air and the temperature in the dust collector is controlled. Cut-off of external air or quantity thereof is controlled by damper 8 which is opened or closed or adjusted in the degree of opening. Thus, the dust collector internal can be maintained at an optimal temperature.
