Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the adhesion of raw powders to a bucket, said raw powders generating heat at the time of granulation, by a method wherein there is provided an exhauster at an appropriate position and the case of a conveyor is ventilated.
CONSTITUTION: The powders of raw activated alumina are supplied from a hopper 10 to a tray type granulator 1. Water is sprayed from an water atomizer 16. The powders of the raw activated alumina are granulated in the granulator 1, transferred through a chute 17 to a belt conveyor 2, and further transferred to a classifier 4 by means of a bucket conveyor 3. In the classifier 4, the resulting products are classified into a group consisting of powders and fine particles having small size, produced granules having specified dimension and coarse particles having large size. The powders and the fine particles are passed through a chute 5 and returned to the granulator by means of a conveyor 9. The coarse particles are passed throgh a grinder 8 and a chute 18 and returned to the granulator 1 by means of the conveyor 9. The conveyors 3, 9 are provided with exhausters 12, 13 to discharge hot gas and steam from the conveyors 12, 13 to the outside of the processing system.
