Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a treating material forming a dense smooth diffusion cementation layer with superior exfoliative properties on the surface of a product made of Ni alloy or Co alloy by adding Ni or Co to a Cr-Si alloy or a Cr-Si-Al alloy followed by alloying.
CONSTITUTION: In order to prevent corrosion and damage of a gas turbine or the like made of Ni alloy or Co alloy due to V and S present in fuel, a dense smooth diffusion cementation layer with superior exfoliative properties is formed with an alloy consisting of Cr 30W40%, Si 20W30% and Ni 40% or Al 5W10% and Ni 30W40% in case of the Ni alloy or an alloy consisting of Cr 30W40%, Si 20W30% and Co 40% or Al 5W10% and Co 30W40% in case of the Co alloy. The turbine or the like is buried in a mixt. of powder of this alloy and Al2O3 or the like and heated to 1100°C in a hydrogen gas stream to form the diffusion cementation layer.
