Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the cooling air in a permanent magnet field type DC rotary machine by introducing the cooling air into air core of an air core interpole winding to flow axial air so as to reduce the air flow resistance.
CONSTITUTION: A permanent magnet field core 2 and an air core interpole winding 3 are mounted on the inner peripheral surface of a yoke 1 so that the axial length Li of the air core of the air core interpole winding is longer than the thickness La of the core of an armature 4 and the axial length Lp of the permanent magnet field core.
