Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the easy machining of teeth of a rotor in the stepping motor and assembling of coils therein by forming a motor case of an outer rotor type rotating as a rotor, diposing a toothed portion in the vicinity of an outer periphery and forming the coils capable of winding on bobbins. CONSTITUTION:Stator iron cores 4, 4' are cut with grooves at the center in axial direction on the outer peripheral surface, are wound with exciting coils 5, 5' in the grooves, and are cut with teeth trains slightly displaced in pitches with same number of teeth in axial direction on the outer periphery not wound with the coils 5, 5' of the respective cores 4, 4'. A cylindrical rotor iron core 7 also as a case for a motor is rotatably supported on a central shaft 1 through front and rear covers 8, 8' and bearings 9, 9' of the motor, confronts on the inner periphery the outer peripheral surface of the stator iron core through small air gap, and is cut with teeth of the same number as that cut on the outer peripheral surface of the stator iron core in parallel with the shaft. In this manner it can facilitate easy machining of teeth of the rotor and easy assembling of coils therein.
