Abstract
PURPOSE:To maintain gas glow distribution adequately and secure the blast furnace operation stably and efficiently by controlling the change of the in-furnace gas composition in the furnace radial direction and the change index of the gas composition measured value at the furnace wall side 4/5 in the radial direction to the respectively specified ranges. CONSTITUTION:In the blast furnace operation by which the distribution of the piling ratio of ores and coke is adequately maintained, the charge amount of raw materials, the height of descending materials, the charging order, the grain size distribution of descending materials, etc. are suitably changed and adjusted to provide such a gas flow distribution in which the change of the in-furnace gas composition in the furance radial direction in the shaft upper part is kept within ratio of CO%/ CO2% (CGI); 1.8<=CGI<=2.5 and the change index (RGI) of the CO%/CO2% measured values at the plural points in the range of the furnace wall 4/5 in the radiation direction within the range of 0.04<=RGI<=0.12. In this way, the operation is accomplished stably and efficiently even in the large-size blast furnace of a large diameter.
