Abstract

PURPOSE:To operate a secondary air duct damper of a combustion air system in its full open position, decrease pressure losses and save energy, by regulating the pressure losses of a kiln system by changing the rate of raw material feed into a rising duct of a kiln thereby maintaining a balance of the draft between the kiln system and the combustion air system. CONSTITUTION:The powder raw material preheated by a suspension preheater flows through a raw material chute 14 from the lowermost stage cyclone 13 and is distributed by a branching damper 27. By way of raw material chutes 28, 29, the one is charged into a kiln rising duct 20, and the other into the lower body 2b of a calcining furnace 2. At this time, the higher the rate of the raw materials to be fed into gas, the higher the pressure losses; therefore, the regulation of the pressure losses in the kiln system is made possible by changing the rate of the distribution. Thereupon, said pressure losses are regulated by controlling the damper 27, with the detected value of an oxygen concn. analyzer 30 at the kiln end, whereby the draft balance of the kiln system and the combustion air system is taken.
