Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove chloride effectively as well as make the separation of combusted residue and fludized medium unnecessary by a method wherein, in case of subjecting combustion residue of a chloride-containing waste liquid to hydrolyzing treatment under a fluidized layer forming condition, sodium sulphate particles are used as a fluidizing medium.
CONSTITUTION: The dust collected from combustion gas of a combustion furnace 1 of a pulp waste liquor is supplied to a fludized layer 2A of a fluidizing reactor 2 through a line 7 and, on the other hand, particulate sodium sulphate is supplied to a fluidizing layer 2A from a fluidizing medium supply apparatus 3 through a line 9. The collected dust supplied into fluidzing layer 2A and a fluidizing medium are reacted with and hydrolyzed by moisture within air from a line 10 and combustion gas by fuel from a line 11 and decomposed to HCl and mainly to NaOH. The HCl containing combustion gas is discharged out of a system from a line 13, while on the other hand, the dust is taken out along with a fluidizing medium from a line 8 and mixed with a waste liquor 12 in a mixing tank, thereafter is subjected to dissolving treatment or the like.
