Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily desalt chloride in ash with a simple apparatus without introducing additives from outer system and also, not forming reaction product difficult to treat, by heating alkali metal chloride including Glauber's salt and hydrolyzing under the existence of steam and then, separating produced HCl out of system.
CONSTITUTION: The EP ash 11 taken out from the hopper of the electrical dust precipitator (EP) 1 of recovery boiler attachment, is sent to the reaction heating furnace 2 and is heated at 500W600°C by the combustion heat generated by the fuel 21 and the air 22. On this occasion, it is preferable to mix a suitable quantity of the steam 23 in order to accelerate more desalting reaction, that is, hydrolysis reaction. Then, generated HCl as hydrolysis reaction product is neutralized by using precipitated CaCO3 etc. in caustification vessel. Also, the EP ash 25 after carried out desalting treatment, is able to return to chemicals recoverying system in solid state.
