Abstract
PURPOSE: To flame-spary a pulverized material at a high deposition efficiency by providing in a cross-sectionally circular premixing combustion chamber two steps of combustion-supporting-gas feeding inlet ports, i.e. tangentially extended feeding inlet ports and an axially extended feeding inlet port directed toward a flame ejection port.
CONSTITUTION: Oxygen gas is supplied into a premixing combustion chamber 15 through a combustion-supporting-gas guide port 16 and combustion-supporting-gas feeding inlet ports 17a, 17b, 17c so as to be mixed with a gaseous-solid mass (for example, a mixture of Al2O3 and C3H3) supplied into the chamber 15 through a feeding inlet port 14. Since the feeding inlet ports 17a, 17b, 17c are provided in different positions with respect to the axis of the chamber 15, the gaseous-solid mass is mixed initially with the combustion supporting gas ejected from the feeding inlet port 17a, and thereafter with the combustion supporting gas ejected from the feeding inlet ports 17b, 17c. Thus, the combustion supporting gas is mixed perfectly with the gaseous-solid mass to form a flame zone of a high temperature extended from the interior of the chamber 15 to the outside of a flame ejection port 15a. Accordingly, even when the pulverized material in the gaseous-solid mass has a high melting point, it is melted perfectly in every part of the mentioned flame zone so that the pulverized material can be deposited on a base metal at a high deposition efficiency.
